This is how the final product look like. I actually got my mother to buy me a pig's heart for the shoot. Initially I wanted to hold onto the heart but the sight of it simply disgust me too much to ever want to hold it. So I decided to take pictures of it and photoshop it onto the main layout instead. As I was editing the images, I decided to let the heart float in the air instead to create a more "out of the world" feel to suit the theme of surrealism experimental play.
Other than that, I picked the idea of offering instead of the ritualistic imagery of sacrifice mainly because of aesthetics reasons. It also helps to create a more concentrated focal point since the heart will be in the middle of the poster instead being at the top. In addition, the concept of human body distortion in surrealism is applied to the evil imagery (hands of evil) instead of to create a more disturbing feel. In addition, I had used the handphone camera to take the picture of the female lead to create the low resolution for a more distorted feel (I don't know to use Photoshop to do it).
As mentioned earlier, the bank note was edited into the eyes of the female lead to signify the concept of being blinded by greed.
Other than that, to make it look like an actual play poster, I did some brief research on local play posters and came up with similar layout: title, quote, date/venue of play, and viewer discretion.
